In a nutshell: The use of fall prevention interventions is often poor among older people because health professionals frequently fail to refer them. This leads to a negative preception among the older people, thereby affecting their uptake and adherence to the intervention. After appropriate questioning, referrals should be increased to prevent further injuries.
