In a nutshell: The report from Age UK and the National Osteoporosis Society entitled ‘ Breaking Through:Building Better Falls and Fracture Services in England’ says GPs should work with their local authorities and hospitals to improve secondary prevention. The report was commissioned by Care Services Minister Paul Burstow also recommends several ways in which the NHS can reduce the number of falls and fractures thus improving the lives of many older people and saving the NHS money that can be ploughed into other essential services.
