In a nutshell: Injury profiles for all local authorities in England place Wokingham in the bottom five of several key indicators including hospital admissions from falls.  A public health lead for Wokingham said “We work together with our partners such as Wokingham Borough Council to help keep people fitter and healthier. For example, we support the council’s falls-prevention programme ‘Steady Steps’ and their over 50s physical activity SHINE initiative”.  Both schemes are thought to have helped to reduce the risk of personal injury and hospital admission.
