In a nutshell: This report based on the feedback from more than 1,700 older people who attended NHS-run exercise programmes that aimed to reduce falls found that 96 per cent of older people felt the exercises were beneficial, while 95 per cent were either satisfied or very satisfied with their exercise programme. The report also found that responses from the patient and staff questionnaires indicated that many NHS providers are not delivering completely evidence-based interventions for reducing falls and that patients need to be aware of the benefits of therapeutic exercise in falls prevention.
