In a nutshell: The New Forest is providing a new set of exercise classes aimed at older people who have difficulty balancing. The evidence-based exercises aim to improve balance and confidence in carrying out day-to-day tasks, and to reduce the risk of falls. Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust provide 12 weeks of classes, and then patients are advised to attend a further 12 weeks of exercises in community classes to get the maximum benefit.
