In a nutshell: This RCT studied the effects of a multifactorial falls prevention programme on fall incidence and physical function in community-dwelling older Taiwanese people. The intervention was found to produce improvements in functional performance after 3 months but did not reduce falls in the following year. The 3 month result is possibly due to increased awareness of falls during the programme.
