In a nutshell: This study investigated whether indirect treadmill-slip training would be as effective as direct over-ground-slip training in preventing falls from sudden (novel) slips. It tested two groups of young adults, one of which did treadmill-slip training, the other did only over-ground-slip training. It found that treadmill training could produce a reduction in falls.
