In a nutshell: This study aimed to evaluate and compare the impact of neurological diseases on falls risk in older people based in the community. Comparing this group of people to a control group with no neurological disorder, it found that the group with disorders was far more likely to fall for various reasons. Health professionals are advised to view neurological patients as high risk and routinely query and advise them about falls.
