In a nutshell: Doncaster CCG have commissioned community pharmacists to provide a falls prevention service, in a move hoped to spread nationally. The pharmacists are being paid £10 per intervention targeting over 65s in the borough who are taking multiple medicines and may be at risk of a fall. It is hoped that this will ease winter pressures on the NHS.
