In a nutshell: Ageing causes loss of muscle mass and function, which can be a major cause of falls, disability and morbidity. Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE inhibitors, ACEi) have already been shown to improve physical function in older people and evidence suggests they may improve exercise training response. This study was designed to examine the effects of ACEi therapy on older peoples’ exercise training.
